In the mountainous part of Chechnya, started a large-scale special operation to neutralize the remaining militants, with the participation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the federal forces, told RIA Novosti President of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov. “We know that they are not more than 50-70 people. I am firmly convinced that in the near future they will be destroyed” – said Kadyrov.
He stressed that the decision not to put before the federal question of amnesty fighters. “They have given such an opportunity to return to peaceful life. Who would it have done so. And if the remaining gangsters want to kill someone, we also help them to die,” – said the president of Chechnya.
Henceforth, also, no one will try to take the bandits alive, if they would resist, Kadyrov stressed. “I do not see the need to police and soldiers killed. The man who set themselves the goal of killing innocent people, must be destroyed”, – he said.
Using the counter-terrorist operation in Chechnya, in effect since 1999, was repealed April 16, 2009 FSB director Alexander Bortnikovym on behalf of President Dmitry Medvedev. Ramzan Kadyrov, have repeatedly spoken out to end the regime who, noting that terrorists in the country completely defeated, and the total number of rebels sheltering in the mountains do not exceed a few dozen people.
